Get Involved The Asian Affairs Center (AAC) houses the Missouri International Training Institute (MITI), a joint program with the State of Missouri. Nearly 100 Chinese and Korean scholars and their families and students come to Columbia each year to study English and live in the heartland of America through MITI's programs. These students and adult professionals are passionate to learn about American institutions and lifestyles and share their experiences of life in their home country with Americans. The AAC seeks to provide a diverse range of experiences and introduce these students and scholars to Americans and American families. Through the many programs, the AAC links Americans with our Asian visitors with similar interests in hope of developing friendships and better cross-cultural understanding.
