Essay contest: Peaceful unification of Korea

You could win a smart device for your thoughts on the peaceful unification of Korea.

All entries must be:

  • An original (your own voice, never written or published for any other purposes);
  • Double spaced, typed in 12-point Times New Roman font, with 1-inch margins, in PDF or Doc format;
  • Written in English with 1,000 words or less for the junior contestants or 2,000 words or less for the senior contestants;
  • Submitted by the deadline to chicago@mofa.go.kr with your name, name of your school (institution), phone number and mailing address on the last page of your essay.

Eligibility — all applicants must be:

  • College undergraduate students (senior group) or students in grades 6-12 (junior group);
  • Non-Korean nationals (multi-citizenship holders are allowed to participate);
  • Attending an institution located in the following states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, Wisconsin.
