Ty Rhoads coordinates the LEAD program for the Asian Affairs Center. He works with students from Asia in a variety of ways, including teaching, advising, and planning and hosting cultural events.
He began his experience in Asia as an undergraduate student when he studied at Liaoning Normal University in Dalian, China, through Missouri State University. After transferring to the University of Missouri, he continued his study of Asian culture and languages by volunteering with the Asian Affairs Center and other campus departments and organizations. Upon graduation, Ty started working with the Asian Affairs Center as a program coordinator, and he also teaches courses on American culture, history and government.
Ty has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Missouri.
